Summary

The centerpiece of the Viviria District and the seat of House Viviria's power and presence. The Mothertoad, Viviria's citygod, is contained within the topmost level while below the numerous mages and adherents of the House scurry about their burgeoning work.

Services

The basement level of the citadel houses numerous mephitoad hatcheries.

The surface level entry to the citadel and the lower floors above it are lush and crowded with numerous exotic gardens for study and recreation alike. These gardens also supply many of the needed materials for the apothecaries above.

The middle floors of the House's citadel give way to apothecaries filled with House mages perfecting old recipes as well as inventing new concoctions. These levels also contain Viviria's dormitories whose comforts, privacy, and amenities vary wildly depending on a House mage's station and status.

The uppermost floors of the citadel house infestation chambers and the assimilation chamber.

The infestation chambers are strewn about several floors each with a different parasite inside. Members of the House can enter within and willingly subject themselves to the parasites.

At the very highest level sits the assimilation chamber. This is a sacred space where rituals are carried out to prepare individuals to be offered up to The Mothertoad. Access is restricted and the areas leading to it are heavily monitored.

Atmosphere

The interior of the citadel is even more choked with plant life, buzzing insects, slime, spores, and all other manner of overgrown life one would associate with House Viviria. So thick is the foliage growing from any and every surface that little of the actual building can be seen if even much remains which isn't overtaken by growth throughout.

Hardly a step can be taken without trodding upon moss, into slime, or some other squirming, gurgling, or living surface. Every breath is labored by merit of the stifling humidity and hazy fog of spores in the air. All manner of croaking and chirping of insects and other creatures can be heard at all times of the day and night alike. Despite this the House mages go about their business paying little mind to the suffocating environment within the citadel.
