Summary

The smulgus is the familiar of the Cult of Byle. It's an amorphous creature made out of excrement and bones.

Physiology

Smulgus' body is composed entirely of only fecal matter and bones. Their bodily fluids are varying consistencies and colors of excrement as well. While technically amorphous, it's usually a quadrupedal creature.

Habitat

Smulgus are almost exclusively found in and around the Cult of Byle's headquarters, or near wherever such cultists roam - much to the disgust of other citizens.

Reproduction

The ritual for smulgus' creation requires one to defile something sacred with one's own bodily waste, specifically that which results from consuming a sacrificial victim. The victim's bones rearrange themselves into a new shape that does not necessarily resemble the corpse's original anatomy - usually the resulting creature is a quadruped, though specifics may vary.

While a smulgus cannot reproduce through sexual means, they themselves can devour a victim - if they dispose of them onto something sacred, a new smulgus will form.

Behavior

In spite of their grotesque nature, smulgus are said by their owners to be quite loyal and loving.

Diet

The diet of a smulgus can be anything - but is usually excrement, garbage, or sacrificial victims.

Common Uses

Smulgus are the familiar of the Cult of Byle.
