Most of the shops in this district cater towards wares of a protective, healing, or life-extending nature. Homes are well-guarded, hidden, or otherwise inaccessible to unwanted strangers. The food sold here tends to be the healthiest and most nourishing in the city.
Atmosphere
Melchan tends to be eerily quiet, as most residents stay indoors for most of the day - anyone you meet here is likely to appear suspicious or avoidant, and many won't speak unless spoken to (and often not even then). The streets and shops are all well-guarded.
