Gloam is the arcane energy which permeates the world of Nodd itself - it is pure potential, chaotic in nature. Gloam has many applications, it's primary uses are as a power source, a fuel for magic, and Nodd's currency.

A citizen may generate gloam through chaotic and indulgent acts, and may spend it on powering spells and artifacts, or paying for goods and services. It is represented as a quantity, and can be withdrawn as a usable fuel at mage kiosks and similar services.

Dangerous and unpredictable when handled openly, gloam in its usable form is almost always kept in some manner of container. In its raw and contained form, it usually appears as a thick, luminous green liquid. Spent gloam dissipates into the air as a teal haze. The Conduit gathers this haze to recycle it.
