The Control Aspect encapsulates all the desire to understand and manipulate parts of Nodd as a concept. Some might believe this to be very similar to the Change Aspect but, in truth, the two are in great opposition. The Control aspect also should not be confused with the idea of "order", either. Someone wishing to understand Control might vivisect a victim in an attempt to understand how gloam might be used to enhance or modify the individual's body. The more scientific explorations of gloam also tend to be through the Control Aspect, as it stems from a deep need to understand the smallest workings of things. While Change is satisfied so long as anything is happening, Control cannot be satisfied until it knows why and how to manipulate it, if possible.

House Omnillian is the House that most embraces the Control Aspect and explores its manifestation in the world of Nodd. Control is an aspect centered around understanding and manipulation - whether one's environment, items, or other individuals. Control opposes Change, and mages of Omnillian are most aligned with Control. Its detractors claim that Control is opposed to Nodd's chaotic nature, however Control is not about creating order - rather it is enforcing one's own will.

Control aligned mages are rarely content to accept that something works without knowing why, and how to manipulate it to their own ends. Typical pursuits of a Control mage would include vivisections, dismantling and reconstruction of artifacts, and general methodical experimentation. No detail is too small, and no subject is outside of the scope of a Control mage's desire for understanding - even if they must tear it apart again and again. Everything can be improved, after all.

While all magic inherently imposes the caster's will upon a given target, Control magic follows a structured, well defined path to do so. Species aligned with Control embody or are beholden to it's concepts, in one way or another. The philosophy of Control is typically applied to scientific studies of gloam usage and artifact fabrication.
