Summary

The museling is a vaguely feline construct with a mirror for a head.

Physiology

Muselings have a metallic body, and a mirror where their head should be. Despite their lack of evident sensory organs, muselings are perfectly capable of perceiving sight, sound, and smell as normal. When gazing into the mirrored face of a museling one sees what they want to see; this tends to be a more beautiful or complete version of themselves and their surroundings. For many artists, this serves as a source of inspiration.

Habitat

Muselings stalk the halls of Amyrnum's headquarters, and anywhere their owners go.

Reproduction

Muselings are constructs, and don't reproduce. However, they begin as inanimate objects, only gaining autonomy when someone peers into their mirror and sees their own true beauty.

Behavior

Muselings follow their owners around and lounge nearby, taking particular interest in any creative affairs. Meditating on their mirrored face provides vast amounts of inspiration for some artists.

Diet

A museling is sustained by their owner's presence - left too long out of sight, a museling might to return to its inanimate state. This would also happen if its owner were no longer able to see their own beauty.

Common Uses

Muselings are the official familiar of the Cult of Amyrnum.
