Summary
The Scrapyard is where all the City's inorganic waste is dumped before proceeding to The Slough. Much of what ends up here has been picked over for anything obviously valuable by Council Sweeps and vultures, but scavengers of various sorts still see fit to root through the towering piles. At any given time the amount of garbage occupies a large amount of The Omasum as it awaits further processing.
Services
The Scrapyard is open at all times for all to freely scrounge. Every trisk or so, the floors of the Scrapyard open up, dumping the contents into a series of powerful grinders. These grinders will break down the garbage into smaller chunks before it's deposited into the Slough. It's not uncommon for a citizen or two to be pulverized along with the trash, especially as there's not much warning before the floor opens.
Atmosphere
The Scrapyard is an enormous, reeking garbage dump and has the atmosphere of such. Violence isn't common here, but could be a result of conflict over scavenged items.
