It's not known whether Nodd ever had some form of natural light, as all anyone remembers are the artificial sun and moon put in place by the Council.
City's Eyes
Nodd's analog for the sun and moon are together referred to as the "City's Eyes." Each one is created on a daily basis by a powerful spell, and is made to appear as though it traverses from horizon to horizon. This is the origin for the expression of the same name, and it is believed by many that the Council can spy on citizens through these celestial bodies.
The sun and moon are referred to as the Day's Eye and Night's Eye respectively.
Heavenscratch
At night, Nodd lacks any proper celestial bodies beyond the Night's Eye, leaving the sky a dark void - at least, without the efforts of mages. Mages, especially of House Psilysium, have taken to a habit of "playing" with the night sky and will dot the heavens with illusions of stars, streaks of comets, moons, and other celestial graffiti all for the sake of practicing their craft. This is referred to as "heavenscratch", and each night displays something entirely different.
Weather
Weather seems to manifest in and around Nodd in a variety of ways, both mundane and arcane. While the City and the surrounding area see a shift in seasons throughout the turn, bringing predictable periods of rain, heat, and cold, - it also sees more bizarre weather as a form of chaos. Weather such as mephitoad rain and chaos storms are thought to occur when there is an overall lack of chaos in the City.
