Spawning Myth

The Snatcher is a large plant primarily made up of a round, bulb-like base, a beak-like mouth at the top, and grasping tendrils that grope about for prey.

Physiology

The plant senses movement nearby and will lash out with its claw-like tendrils. If it manages to grab onto a victim of the right size it will hoist them into the air and drop them into the beak at its top. The "beak" is comprised of three petals with serrated edges and thorns inside which will squeeze and grind against prey to tear, shred, and generally render them easier to devour. An opening at the top of the bulb allows the victim's fluids to drain into the plant's bulb, as well as their body once it will fit. The bulb portion can stretch to engulf larger prey as they are digested.
