Spawning Myth

The chokebulb is a plant comprised of a central body with a main appendage extending from the top, with a series of thinner, thorned secondary appendages extending from around the bottom portion of the central body. It gropes around blindly for victims and entangles them in an ever-tightening grasp while seeking out a meal.

Physiology

The chokebulb grabs onto any nearby prey it senses in an attempt to asphyxiate the victim. Without any known ability to actually see or sense this most victims end up with several tendrils wrapped around several parts of their body. Once latched on the chokebulb's larger appendage explores the suffocating prey's body, in search for something to latch onto and draw sustenance from.

Habitat

Chokebulbs grow primarily in caves where their prey has far less room to maneuver and escape grasping vines.
