Melchan is a district in The Canopy whose residents seek safety above all else. This tends to manifest through paranoia, avoidance, and all manner of suspicion and distrust towards other citizens. Talk of conspiracies run rampant in this district and adds to the atmosphere of paranoia. Few residents walk the streets as most believe some great misfortune waits for them right outside their door. Most abodes are well protected and utilitarian if not protected by greater magics of camouflage, invisibility, or other more elaborate methods.

Most of the shops in this district cater towards defensive or protective magics and artifacts as well as life extension services and goods. Anything to survive another sleep in Nodd.

Melchan is one of the quietest districts in Nodd, with hardly more than whispers of fears or suspicions to entertain the ears of anyone walking its streets.
