The Council Sweep is perhaps not the most sought after role but it is a simple one and still affords one a measure of greater social status in the city. Sweeps take care of all the cleanliness needs of the Spire and the Council as a whole. Though most of their work revolves around keeping the spire and its immediate area tidy, more than a few have experienced, and refuse to speak about, being put on sweep duty for a citygod. Fortunately for sweeps it is usually the fodder's fate instead.
