The Council Knight is similar to the Council Pawn, save that knights tend to work much closer to the Spire and serve as bodyguards and entourage for council members. They also oversee pawns as a whole and work directly with "recruitment" for council roles.
Knights also carry out most punishments which do not directly kill the convicted - punishments of that variety are generally left to the reapers. Most knights previously served as pawns and through numerous turns of service, or remarkable circumstances, were promoted.
