The tailpoke is a plant with teadrop-shaped pods which launch themselves towards the orifices of potential hosts.
Physiology
Tailpokes are purple and orange pods which grow in clusters.
When the plant detects foosteps of a creature nearby, it will fire one or more pods with the aim of lodging them within the creature's orifices. If one finds purchase, a sticky fluid at the base of the pod glues it in place, making removal difficult. Once within, the pod injects its seeds, as well as slimy secretions that act as a plug. From here, the pod withers and drops off, leaving the seeds plugged inside.
Habitat
The tailpoke grows in clusters near paths and trails outside the City and within the Viviria District.
