A Savant is a mage who has successfully undertaken their House or Cult's Final Rite, a challenge designed by the most powerful mages of that House or Cult to test the worthiness of the would-be Savant. Passing this trial and gaining the title of Savant marks full acceptance as one of the senior mages of that House or Cult, and comes with many privileges. Savants are permitted to accept Apprentices, and oversee the administering of Initation trials. Typically reaching this rank is considered a House mage's primary goal. | |||
