The sludgewort is a plant that induces a laxative effect in creatures in order to sustain and fertilize itself.

Physiology

The sludgewort is a large flower. When a creature is within range, it will try to close its petals around its victim's head in order to forcefeed it a specialized slurry. This liquid will immediately cause the creature to relieve itself at the base of the plant, nourishing it. The creature is then released, unharmed.

Habitat

The sludgewort grows almost exclusively in swamps, but Byle cultists are known to cultivate it as well.
