Featherdust is the hallucinogenic substance that comes from a queril's tailfeathers. The effects vary from one individual to another (both in terms of the queril and the individual under the influence) but tend to include visual distortions, hazy light perception, lightheadedness, a general lack of ability to think or string concepts or memories together, and similar.
In large enough concentrations the dust can hang in the air like scintillating motes and leave an entire area dangerously inebriating if traversed without protective gear.
