A role is a broad term that refers to any job, niche, part, assignment, station, or position that citizens hold, officially or otherwise. Some roles are positions of power or prestige, whereas others are just colloquial titles one takes on based on their identity or purpose.

Any role that is directly affiliated with the Council tends to have some amount of prestige and social status attached to it save for that of fodder, a role not quite officially recognized and a death sentence for most.
