The Cult of the Nameless do not have a familiar in the traditional sense. Instead, the very suit that the Nameless members are known to wear is, itself, an intrinsic part of the cult and considered the familiar. The material is thought to all be part of some greater hive-mind type substance which participates in the strange ritual of the cult's doings, though none can say which came first, if either. New members are inducted by means of a baptism of sorts in Ichor, which then remains with them anytime they walk the lairs of the Nameless. Some believe the Ichor to somehow sustain itself via suppressing the identities of the individuals or through their motions.

Still others believe that the Ichor partakes of the individuality of members in the same way they partake of its singular mind and lack of identity. While cult members masquerade as nameless entities the Ichor rides their bodies around separated from itself in a way that allows it to experience separation.
