A citygod's presence alone is enough to warp every aspect of reality nearby in ways varying based on their mood, individual demeanor, and particular aspect. As such, the term "bless" is dubious indeed.

A citygod is an individual who has been corrupted to the point they embody a particular aspect of Nodd, and thus far have always been paired with an opposing aspect. Their powerful presence is innately entwined with their given aspect, and a citygod distorts their immediate surroundings, distortions which change depending on their mood. Confined within their luxurious quarters within the Spire, few citizens have ever seen a citygod. Revered and feared in equal measure, only the Unseen Ones deal directly with them in any meaningful capacity.

Any citizens offered to the citygods as entertainment rarely remember the full experience afterwards if they survive, and inevitably are changed by the experience in an unpredictable manner. Many refer to this as the citygod's "blessing", as dubious an honor as it might be.

The citygods are the founders of their given houses and potent cityspeakers, serving as both figureheads and leaders. They vie amongst one another for power and prominence, working through their house's doings to expand their influence.
