The Slough refers to a sewage canal which runs through The Abomasum. Sewage from The Mudline, which is fed from the tiers above, drains into the Slough. Similarly, garbage from The Scrapyard is dumped into the water, which carries it towards a series of grinders. The resulting slurry then finds its way down to The Bowels.
