Pressurized Container

A gloam cartridge, or often referred to as a 'tank' especially for larger sizes, is simply a pressurized container meant to hold gloam. Cartridges come in a range of standard sizes or "denominations", with markings on the window to estimate how full, or empty if one is a pessimist, a cartridge is.
Cartridges are not necessary for transferring gloam balance but are needed for devices which need to draw from a source of gloam, i.e. homes, wands, many artifacts, and so forth. Withdrawing gloam from one's balance into a cartridge at a kiosk results in the appropriate deduction to one's balance plus a small fee for the cartridge. Spent cartridges can often be exchanged at a mage kiosk when getting a new one for a discount on fees.
