The purpose of the building is to explore death in its countless forms, from misfortunate to defiant last stands. The exhibits change over time, often with a theme - one phase might be focused on ridiculously specific or convoluted deaths, while another might be magical mishaps, for example.

The Atmosphere of The Mausoleum varies wildly based on the current displays and clientele. In general it is still seen as a somewhat more somber and upscale locale and a significant amount of rowdiness or destruction is strongly discouraged by curators on staff - and strictly enforced.
