Weepers are a known phenomena of the Weeping Hollow, though some think of them as actual creatures. They are invisible and manifest when an individual with especially repressed memories and emotions passes through the valley.

A weeper will sometimes attach itself to a traveler passing through the Hollow, following the individual wherever they go. The weeper causes the individual to be burdened by the repressed emotions it manifested from - the memories will invade their mind in various ways, both in dreams and waking thought.

Once a weeper has attached itself to an individual, the intrusive memories and emotions will persist as long the individual actively resists them. When the experience is properly processed, the weeper is said to disappear.
