The Pruning is an annual event during the final trisk of Neverlight.

During the Pruning, old, dilapidated, and abandoned buildings are destroyed via forces sent out by the Council, in order to make room for new growth during Sporefall. This commonly causes widespread destruction to the City, including unfortunate citizens that are caught up in the proceedings.

Dwellings are customarily decorated with devilmint during this time, and balebrew is considered a festive treat. Some citizens will also send pruning cards to others they intend to cause harm to as part of the event.
