As Othetis came of age their parents decided that the best way to prolong their power and influence was through their offspring and channeled as much of their essence into Othetis as possible. Othetis' parents were left withered husks of their former selves but the influx of power enabled them to begin passionately seeking the perfect definition of beauty through their own art.
After several turns this lead to the establishment of the Cult of Amyrnum which began as a gallery for their own art that expanded to include the creations of other artists - as long as Othetis viewed their works as both worthy and no threat to their own renown.
