|atmosphere=The interior of the citadel is even more choked with plant life, buzzing insects, slime, spores, and all other manner of overgrown life one would associate with House Viviria. Hardly a step can be taken without trodding upon moss, into slime, or some other squirming, gurgling, or living surface. Every breath is labored by merit of the stifling humidity and hazy fog of spores in the air. All manner of croaking and chirping of insects and other creatures can be heard at all times of the day and night alike. Despite this the House mages go about their business paying little mind to the suffocating environment within the citadel.

Summary

Located within the center of Viviria District, the Viviria Citadel is the seat of house Viviria's power. The citygod of Viviria, The Mothertoad, is contained within the highest floor.

Services

Much like the other Citadels, the Viviria Citadel is compromised of numerous floors, both above and below ground, all bustling with mages and adherents going about their work. The basement level houses a plethora of mephitoad hatcheries. The surface and some of the lower floors are teeming with life, with a wide selection of gardens filled with exotic plantlife, used for both study and recreation. Naturally, these gardens are also used to supply needed ingredients for other work going on in the rest of citadel.

The middle floors of the citadel are dedicated to apothecaries and dormitories. Studies are performed here into recipes new and old for various concoction, whether to hone an old recipe to further perfection or to create something entirely new. The dormitories here vary in quality based upon a House mage's rank.

As one proceeds further up the citadel, the uppermost floors give way to a number of 'infestation chambers'. These chambers are specially made to house different parasite species, and a Vivirian may subject themselves willingly to a given parasite - whether for pleasure, study, or both.

There is one other chamber at the very highest level of the citadel, known as the 'assimilation chamber'. It is a sacred space for the most devout Vivirians, and only those who have undertaken ritualistic preparations may enter this chamber - where they will be given up for assimilation by the Mothertoad. Access even to the outside of the chamber is heavily restricted and monitored.

Atmosphere

The citadel's interior is choked with life of all sorts, from rustling plants and buzzing insects to fungal spores and dripping slime. It is tough for one to tell where the foliage begins and the building itself ends, and every step risks trodding upon a living surface.

There is a constant drone of insect life and croaking creatures. Each breath is infused with a mix of steamy humidity or a fog of spores. Despite this, the Vivirians within go about their business, well acclimated to the suffocating environs within.
