The wishing sphincter is a tooth-rung orifice of some sort in part of Nodd of no particular import. Insiders generally paid little mind to the various holes throughout Nodd, save to avoid them when necessary, but upon their arrival outsiders took a strange interest in the sphincter. Numerous outsiders were observed walking up to and speaking to it and several threw an object of some sort into the sphincter.
Wishing sphincters are toothy craters seen all over Nodd, particularly throughout the [[Doldrums]]. Some feel they grant wishes - it is said that if a sphincter "winks" after your wish is made that it's sure to come true.


As a result some insiders have begun the practice as well and whispers stir about the potential power of the so-called "wishing" sphincter.
