The Underbelly is generally considered more crowded, less clean, and less safe than the Surface tier and above. A variety of factors contribute to this perception, and it may be more or less accurate depending on the specific area.

The Underbelly tends to be much darker as well given that most of the street level of Nodd is solid, thus forcing the Underbelly tiers to rely on light sources of various kinds.
